The Mad Paper Hatter

This post is for Curtis. Hawaiian artist Moses spent the majority of the 80's making hats out of paper bags while living out of his van and using a local library as his studio. An article in Smithsonian Magazine has a gallery of these creations, which are each very different and strucutrally amazing.

A paper hat by Moses - it looks like a lily pad!   a very structured head topper, paper hat by Moses.

Next time you host a kid's party - or heck, even an adult party if you happen to have friends cool enough to be into it - why not a hat making party?
